1. Service Territory
The service is offered in the Greater Montreal area, depending on the sectors served by the company and the availability of teams and equipment.
2. Service Trigger
Snow removal is triggered when snow accumulation reaches 5 cm or more. The company may also intervene based on weather conditions when necessary to ensure effective and safe service.
3. Snow Removal During Storms
Snow removal may be performed during the storm. When conditions require it, a property may be cleared more than once during the same storm or day to keep access as passable as possible.
4. Work Schedule
Operations normally start at 7:00 a.m. During a major storm or exceptional weather conditions, the company may start operations before 7:00 a.m. to improve service efficiency.
5. Delays and Order of Visits
The company organizes its routes based on snow conditions, storm intensity, the number of properties to serve, traffic and road conditions. A delay may therefore occur even while service is underway. In heavy traffic, major storms or difficult conditions, the customer understands that the exact time of passage may vary.
6. Included Services
The residential service includes snow removal of the driveway and walkway, depending on the property layout and reasonable access limits.
7. Garage Clearing and Around Vehicles
When the driveway is large enough for safe and effective work, the company may clear access to the garage and areas around a vehicle. The customer is strongly encouraged to move their vehicle before the team arrives to allow more complete snow removal.
8. Vehicles and Available Space
For best results, the vehicle should be removed from the driveway whenever possible. If a vehicle or other obstacle blocks a significant part of the driveway, the company may limit clearing to the accessible space or refuse the cleaning when safe and reasonably complete snow removal is not possible.
9. Salt — Included
Salt application is included in the service. Salt is applied at each snow removal visit, depending on surface conditions and needs. Salt effectiveness may vary with temperature, ice, freezing rain and weather conditions.
10. Snow Deposit and Placement
Removed snow will be placed, where possible, in appropriate designated snow storage areas. Where the layout allows, snow may be placed near street corners, in accordance with applicable municipal practices and regulations, without blocking normal driveway access.
11. Objects Left on the Driveway
The customer must remove before snow removal any object that could be damaged or could damage equipment, including toys, tools, hoses, decorations, accessories, equipment or other objects. Objects hidden under snow pose a particular risk and may not be visible at the time of clearing.
12. Property Damage
Any damage claim must be reported to the company within 24 hours of its discovery. To allow a serious and fair review, the customer is invited to provide evidence establishing the link between the damage and the company’s work, including photographs, videos, surveillance camera footage, or any other relevant evidence.
13. Claim Handling
A claim will not automatically be considered attributable to the company simply because it is filed after a visit. The company will review the facts and available evidence before deciding how to proceed. When damage is genuinely attributable to the company, it will be handled in accordance with applicable legal obligations and the circumstances of the case.
14. Lost or Missing Objects
If a customer notices a missing object after a visit, they must contact the company within 24 hours and provide any available evidence to verify the situation. The company will conduct a reasonable verification. A simple statement, without evidence establishing a link to the visit, is not alone proof of liability.
15. 24-Hour Target in Snow Events
When accumulation reaches 5 cm or more, the company aims to complete snow removal within a reasonable time. If, due to exceptional snow volume, traffic, weather conditions or other operational circumstances, the service has not been performed within 24 hours, the situation will be considered in accordance with the service policy and the plan’s specific conditions.
16. Visit Counting — Annual Plan
For annual plan customers, when the plan’s conditions give rise to an end-of-contract adjustment, the visits actually performed will be counted. If a reduction must be applied because a planned service was not performed under the applicable contract conditions, the adjustment will be calculated based on the plan’s daily value, in accordance with the terms agreed at signup.
17. Multiple Passes Within 24 Hours
When the company makes several passes at the same property within 24 hours, these passes count as a single service visit for plan accounting. This rule allows multiple passes when conditions require without counting each pass as a separate visit.
18. Equipment Used
To perform the service, the company may use the equipment needed for the property and snow conditions, including a pickup with snow removal equipment, a plow blade, a snowblower, shovels, de-icing equipment and any other appropriate equipment. Equipment choice is at the company’s discretion based on conditions encountered.
19. Service Start After Payment
Service under a plan starts after receipt of the required payment and confirmation of the subscription, subject to the rights and rules applicable to the contract type. The company will mobilize the necessary equipment to perform the services in the plan.
20. Exceptional Weather Conditions
Conditions may require several passes, change the order of visits or extend delays. This may occur with heavy accumulations, ice, freezing rain, strong winds, difficult roads or conditions presenting a risk to employees or equipment.
21. Annual Plan Cancellation
For voluntary cancellation of an annual plan, the company applies the cancellation conditions communicated at signup. When cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the planned service start, no cancellation fee is applied by the company, subject to rights provided by law. After that deadline, the cancellation fees set at signup may be deducted or charged, subject to legal rights.
22. Customer Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit consumer rights under applicable Quebec laws. When the contract is concluded remotely or through itinerant trade, special rules may apply, including regarding information to provide and cancellation. Applicable legal conditions prevail over any incompatible provision.
23. Communication and Complaints
For any question, request or claim, the customer must contact the company through the official contact details provided at signup. For a damage or missing-object claim, it is recommended to send available photos, videos or other evidence to allow quick verification.
24. Acceptance of Terms
By subscribing to the service, the customer acknowledges having had access to the service terms applicable to their plan. The specific conditions communicated at signup — including price, duration, plan type and payment terms — are part of the agreement with the customer.
